| Our new safety and security film is a
tough, durable, tear-and-penetration resistant shield that bonds to the
inside of your windows for protection. The film helps hold the
glass together to dramatically reduce the chance of glass shards falling
or flying out - even under direct forces from winds or impacts from
flying objects or heavy devices used for breaking and entering.
Ordinary window films are easy to tear, but due to our multiple, micro-thin layer technology, 3M Scotchshield Ultra Safety and Security films are incredibly strong and penetration-resistant, as indicated by their extreme resistance to tearing |
Results of bomb blast testing indicates that 3M Scotchshield Ultra Window film can help significantly reduce injuries caused by flying glass in explosions. During testing, various 3M Scotchshield Ultra Window Film systems were subjected to blasts equivalent to 500 pounds of TNT. They met the GSA "very high" or "high" protection criteria and qualified for GSA Level C or D buildings. 3M Ultra-Flex System is a patented attachment system that not only holds the glass together, but keeps it in the frame, even during bomb blasts and attempted burglary entry. |
